Nobody likes a poor winner, but...

I ONLY PICK WINNERS! HAHAHAHAHA!

Ohhhhhh that game felt good in all kinds of ways.

Now, to sit and smirk at my desk all day while people give me dirty looks.

Goof Off - Your ideal guy is the silly and wacky
goof off. He's simply adorable in everything he
does, wether it be cheesy pranks, stupid jokes,
or just smiling. He holds an innocent and naive
outlook on life.
Turn ons: He's always upbeat so you'll never have
to pick up the broken pieces of his heart.
Turn offs: He doesn't know when to turn OFF the
funny and can embarrass you or not understand
when you need to seriously talk.

hee...I was hoping for the geek...but I'm not sure there was a geek option. I love nerds and strange, strange people.

On another note, I had six or seven people come up to me and whine about how it rained yesterday. COME ON people. It thundered! It was coo-el. There seem to be a lot of people who complain about any kind of weather that's NOT +20 and sunny. They cry about the wind, they cry about the rain, if it's overcast a little, if it snows or if there's ANY fluctuation (sp?) in the weather. Well I say Pah to those people. Pah.

We have some guys from Texas in the office this morning. You can slay with that accent. The younger guy drawls off a "Were y'all spectin' cowboy hats'n'booooots?"

Um *blinkdrool* No-ooo...

Then one of the older ones sticks his foot in the air and goes "Well I'M wearin' 'em. They're good for your feet!"

*giggle*

And then. Leaving.

"Have a good day, Ma'am."

Heee! No one calls me ma'am. I feel like I should have just fed them chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and be wiping my hands on the apron of my modest homestead dress or in my bouffant hair.

What emotional state are you?

1. What is your town/state known for?

It's one of the cleanest cities in Canada, it's known for the Calgary Stampede, and it's super close to the Canadian Rockies (Banff is about an hour's drive away, you can see the mountains from pretty much anywhere in the city). Right now it's known for the Calgary Flames, which are in the final round of the Stanley Cup hockey...stuff. *shrug* We also have the largest system of above ground walkways (the +15's and +30's...they're like large hamster tubes connecting pretty much all of downtown Calgary)...it's also a big Oil/construction city.

2. Everybody worries about something. What do you worry about?

I worry about making it...I've learned a lot of lessons in the past year, and one of them is to take life a little more responsibly, at least financially. I worry about remaining a nobody, that is someone who lives their life and dies without much notice.

3. Who are you?

I am a 21 year old girl. Aside from that, I'm working on my identity.

4. What do you want to achieve in life?

Well, I have several goals...like rebuilding my credit so that when my little car dealie is stricken from the record I have shiny credit...I would like to buy a house in a nice neighborhood like the one I live in...but less expensive...I do want to get married, but I'm not holding my breath...I want kids, but you don't need to be married for that anymore, just rich. I want to learn, learn, learn! I still have Wild Rose in mind, I'm actually putting aside money for it (and a nest egg for a house) now! I feel like my life is really on track and that even though socially it's a little lacking, it's getting better, and that's what's important. I'm reaching for the Moon, and little by little I'm getting there.

5. What would you tell the leaders of all the countries on earth to do to promote world peace?

Forget religion and forget history. If that is the basis of your argument, you will never have peace. Build a solution that works for now, and that provides economic independence. (It's really hard to add on to this. So it stays)
3rd-Jun-2004 01:22 pm - The goodbye party...
patsy
So the lead from my last position as document control clerk quit and is going to another job, so we took him out to the Fairmont Palliser here in Calgary for lunch.

8 kinds of salad...prime rib...pastas...chicken...vegetables...

AND FIVE KINDS OF CHEESECAKE.

That's not to mention the french pastries, the raspberry coulis, the fresh fruits, Raspberry Mousse cake, Checkerboard and Mocha Tortes, moulded chocolates...

So yeah. Lunch was really, really great! And he got a leather daytimer. And a rediculously expensive pen. haha!

Have I mentioned that my company rocks? AND the people I work with? They go ALL OUT for everything. Tonight it's (free) appitizers and (again, free!) cocktails for a Customer Appreciation reception (We ordered...three pizza from them? Once? hehe!) at Quincy's, a high-end restaraunt/lounge downtown...

Next week is a milestone party with all the cool people (aka ME!), free snacks and drinks.

Then there's the Stampede pancake breakfasts...You're not actually required to work! Just eat heaps of food.

No wonder everyone puts on a good 15 lbs in the summer :)

So now, I will turn on my fan, kick up my feet, and read my book for a couple of hours. Then I'll go on my break, come back, and read some more! I LOVE MY JOB!

lalala...*trips off*

YOU ARE AUDREY HEPBURN
WORSHIP! You're inner Bombshell is the beautiful
Audrey Hepburn. Like her you've been blessed
with a "certain something" that no
one could describe accurately. You are more
reserved than other bombshells, and that shows
in your gentle, graceful nature. You like doing
things for other people and love volunteering
for your favorite charity. Yours is a rare gift
in this day and age. You don't need to show a
lot of skin to be sexy, all you need is your
eyes. To see Audrey at the top of her game
watch the movie "Breakfast at
Tiffanys".

DOGWOOD
You are superficial and artistic. The saddest of
all the trees, you are the ones that find
themselves often on the outside of things
looking in. You like things organized and in
place. You blossom in the warming weather that
still clings to lost cold. Dawn is your time,
when each day is like a fresh page in the book
of your life. Sometimes cowardly, you tend to
run if faced with trouble. You're a lover, not
a fighter. You fear wasting away without doing
anything important, living an empty life. You
admire beauty in others, even if it is only
bark-deep. You often wish to change things
about yourself. You like everything to reflect
beauty. When you leave this world, you hope it
will be a more beautiful place then when you
came into it.
